Chai Tea Benefits – Why Drink Chai Tea?

Even though Chai is a known health beverage from India, the energetic qualities can be broken down using the lens of Chinese Medicine. The main four ingredients are  Ginger, Cardamom, Clove and Cinnamon.  According to Chinese herbal medicine, these herbs warm the interior and tonify the yang. The yang energy warms the lower belly and fires up the digestive system. Black tea, milk and honey sweeten, fill out and smooth the flavor. The black tea provides a caffeine boost. Drinking Chai is a direct delivery system to generate interior warmth which, is of course energetically ideal during colder times of the year.

Having a pot of Chia on the stove during the cold winter months spices up the a drab interior of the home as well. The aroma of the cimmamon, cardomom and anise are like a delicious potpourri.
